History of the Los Angeles Skate Company / hOT SKATES

We've been around since 1979 and by the grace of the Universe we're still open.

We started out in May OF 1979 as hot Skates in Glendale and Created the Los Angeles Skate Co. from within hot Skates in 1985.

Los Angeles Skate Company Manufactured a 9.25 inch Truck (Beamer 161), high Quality HDPE Rails (3 styles) - and to this date still make our Own LA Bushings (Buy them in the ebay Store for $3.00 a Set of 4)We distributed Dogtown - Epic - Blockhead and Skull Skates Decks - Thunder Trucks and ODI accesories back in the late 80's.

ON January 1, 2005 L.A. Skate MOVED ACROSS THE STREET from our Original Location to:

2420 HYPERION Ave. - NOW LOCATED ACROSS THE STREET AND A BIT BELOW STREET LEVELWe are now in a Larger Facility with a Sign at the top of the roof, Visible from the Street reading "WWW.LASKATE.COM"

You may be familiar with our Last Location where we were operating out of a Garage on the Sidewalk at 2401 Hyperion Ave (See picture Below of the OLD Shop)That was 2 Doors away from our Original Location of 2411 Hyperion Ave for 12 Years
